Twinning

Caton's Got Talent

HAS CATON (and Brookhouse, of course!) GOT TALENT?

Of course we have! And to give you the opportunity to prove it, the Twinning Association is putting on a “Caton’s Got Talent” show on Saturday 20th November at 7.30 in the Victoria Institute.

Visit to Socx - 6th to 9th May 2010

17 adults and 5 children travelled to our twinned village of Socx where once again we were made very welcome by our hosts.

Visit to Socx - 6th to 9th May 2010

It is not too late to book your place on this trip to our twinned village in Northern France.

We shall travel by coach and ferry, leaving the village about 8.30am on Thursday 6th May and hoping to arrive in Socx about 6pm

Twinning Association - New Year News

Thank you to those who supported our Wine Tasting Evening and the quiz based on places in France. No one got all the answers correct but Kath Metcalf was the winner with 48 out of 50 places identified.

Twinning Group - Competition

I hope that you have bought your copy of our quiz on places in France but if not look out for them in the Brookhouse Convenience store, speak to any of the committee or ring 770002.

Your entries have to be in by Monday 23rd November and we are going to announce the winner at our wine tasting evening on November 27th in St Paul's Church Hall.

Twinning Group Wine Tasting Evening - Open to All

27 Nov 2009 - 7:45pm
27 Nov 2009 - 10:00pm

We are planning a repeat of our very successful wine tasting evening; this will be on Friday 27th November, and will again be hosted by Barry Howarth of "The Wineyard". The format is expected to be the same as last time, with a fun wine quiz as well as a tutored tasting session.

Caton & Brookhouse Twinning Group Update

I am pleased to say that the visit of 25 people from our twinned village of Socx in July went very well.

Visit from our friends in Socx

Twinning Group - Socx visits Caton

Thank you to all those who supported our strawberries and cream stall at the Gala. Pity it wasn't really the weather for it! Perhaps soup would have been better!

Twinning Association - Host Families Wanted!

Thank you to all those who supported our games evening. Our plans for the visit of a group from Socx from 16-19th July are well under way. We are not sure how many will come but suspect that it will be a larger group than last time. During the visit, we try to find host families for everyone, even though we may have to separate older children from their parents!
