We are going to do a Litter Pick in the Villages on Friday evening 11th July. Meet at the Victoria Institute from 6.00 onwards and we'll set you off with bags and pickers. Contact Joyce Pritchard ( 770874 ) if you require more information or would like to borrow the kit for another time.

There will be a car wash and craft fair in aid of street children and poor families in Albania on Saturday 5th July from 10.00am till 1.00pm at Brookhouse Methodist Church.

Enjoy a browse round the crafts and have some refreshments while your car is washed.

Thanks to the Gala Committee for yet another great day and arranging for glorious weather!

Regulars from the Black Bull in Brookhouse have removed their clothing for charity and have launched their 2009 calendar which is now on sale.

The calendar features 22 well known male faces (and other parts of the anatomy), aged between 30 and 80 posing in and around the pub and in the cellar.

Local Liberal Democrats are arranging a Public Discussion on Energy Resources for the UK.

The Parish Council feels that Caton and Brookhouse are not getting their fair share of Press coverage and are making this plea for people to get their stories/events etc to Wendy Turner (771069) who is the present correspondent for the Lancaster Guardian and she will forward them on.

As you may know the Parish Council has been consulting on proposed developments at Fell View and has put in a bid for funding. The plans have changed slightly and we are going ahead with the modernisation of the existing play area to include equipment for the under fives and for older children.

The Annual Parish Meeting of Caton-with-Littledale.

This is your chance to hear about what is going on in Caton and Brookhouse and put questions to the Parish Council.

There will be short talks on the Twinning and on the redevelopment of Fell View play area.

On Friday 25th April 2008 between 8.15 am and 9.15 am we will be holding a textile recycle outside the School gates on Moorside Road. This is a good chance to have a spring clean and get rid of those unwanted items e.g. clothes, curtains, bedding, shoes, bags etc. The better items are sent abroad to the poorer countries and the rest is recycled.
