The AGM will be held on Monday 20th February at 8pm in the Victoria Institute.

A big thank you to all who helped to organise the Lights Alive event, especially Emma for the practicalities and Suzanne for the singing! Thanks also to all who came along to take part in the fun and foody festivities. The funds raised by the raffle will contribute to the railings children’s shapes decor project.

It is fantastic that so many children, families and friends are enjoying our new play park - and, please, each of you, do your bit to keep it clean, litter free, and encourage the surfaces to settle or green over! More good news!

The Playrangers are coming to Fell View play area to encourage everyone to get out there and have some fun! There will be 3 sessions of games and activities on Monday afternoons, starting on May 9th. The sessions will be at 3.45pm and are aimed at primary school children.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the launch event for the Play Park such a success!

You are invited to join us for the Opening Ceremony for the Play Park at 11am on Saturday 2nd April. Everyone is invited: there will be (free) light refreshments, including chocolate cake for kids! The ribbon will be cut by the lucky child who pulls out the winning number from a hat on the day – it could be you!

The Parish Council needs somebody to lock up the new zip-wire apparatus in the evening and unlock it again in the morning. Although it is a small job we need somebody who is able to do it seven days a week throughout the year for which we will pay a small fee. If you are interested then please contact me Bruce Alexander the Clerk on 381491 and we can discuss it further.

Our new Play Park is looking for a lively Logo to head publicity and correspondence. Eye-catching, brightly coloured, simple doodles to celebrate play are invited from children, young people, or anyone young at heart, for our Logo competition.

It is good news that the play park is taking shape with only a few changes because of the small shortfall in funds. We are hoping for extra money to reinstate, for example, the attractive and hard wearing path surface and to raise enough to put in the maze, designed by our children. So it is not too late to donate!!
