Caton-with-Littledale twinned with Socx, France

On the 12th April 2008 a formal twinning agreement was signed by representatives of Caton-with-Littledale and Socx, France.
This ceremony, attended by 32 visitors from Socx and a number of host families and residents of Caton and Brookhouse, formalises the twinning of the two villages.

The Oak Tree
Submitted by Bruce Alexander on Wed, 16/05/2007 - 9:56am.A successor Oak Tree was planted in the bowl of the existing Oak at the Fish Stones on Friday 27th April by the High Sheriff of Lancashire, the Right Worshipful the Mayor of Lancaster, The Chairman of Caton-with-Littledale Parish Council and the children from our two Primary Schools.
Mighty oaks from little acorns grow

The High Sheriff of Lancashire, Mrs Ruth Winterbottom today 'planted' the new Caton Oak. At a ceremony also attended by the Right Worshipful Mayor of Lancaster, Councillor Janie Kirkman, villagers and members of the Parish Council witnessed the proceedings.
