Youth

A new Rainbows group starts on Wednesday 27th February from 5.30- 6.30pm at St Pauls Church Hall, Brookhouse. The group is for girls aged 5-7 years old and will run weekly in term time.

We currently have 2 young Leaders to support this group but would welcome further adult help. For further information please telephone 770845.

The improvements to the old scout hut, which is to be a youth centre/boxing club are coming along at pace. Local members of the village have donated their time and other resources into this project.

District Camping and Skills Competition - September at Silverhelm. Friday night to late on Sunday afternoon. Setting up the camp in the dark which they did quite well on. After breakfast on Saturday, Judging on Site Layout, Camp Gadgets and a Clean Site, and other things. They received average marks. The overall position was 5th.

We will be closed over Christmas and return in the New Year. Recently we have secured some further funding that will allow us to extend our activities. May we wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Caton P.A.C.T (Police and Community Together) is open to all young people from the ages of 11 to 18 at Hornby Road Police Station. Entrance and membership is free and we have available, pool, darts, TV, DVD, the internet, music, refreshments and a rest room.

THERE ARE SEVERAL YOUNGSTERS WHO WOULD LIKE TO JOIN, BUT ARE UNABLE TO DO SO AS WE ARE LACKING VOLUNTARY HELP!

Everyone is very welcome to the AGM of our youth centre at Copy Lane, Caton. Why not come along and see what we are doing, on Monday 12th February 2007 @7.30pm.
