Pilates is named after its founder, Joseph Pilates, who developed a series of physical exercises promoting flexibility, strength, coordination, flow and stamina. He believed we can all move in a more efficient way, through concentrating the mind on the body
Pilates provides a variety of benefits for coping with day to day living; It can improve posture, relieve and prevent back pain, tone and strengthen the body. The exercises are designed to develop core strength while linking breathing to movement and creating flow and suppleness.
Importantly, the class is to be enjoyed, not endured! - you are welcome to ask questions, during and after the class, if you are unsure about anything
Classes are held in the Victoria Institute on Wednesday mornings, 10-11am
