Best Kept Village Competition

Caton and Brookhouse have been awarded a number of prizes in the Lancashire Best Kept Village Competition and everybody should be justly proud of our achievements.

Caton was runner up in the Medium Village Class and Brookhouse was third with a Highly Commended Certificate. Caton was also named as most improved Medium Village.

Highly Commended Certificates were also awarded to the Black Bull Inn, Brookhouse, Caton Post Office and Caton Community Primary School in their various categories. Congratulations to all the winners and a big thank you to everybody who helped with the litter picks and who keep the village tidy. It all adds to the sense of pride and makes Caton and Brookhouse such a nice place to live.

The Parish Council is planning a reception when the winners will receive their certificates. Well done everybody!
