A gecko, a skink, an eight foot python and a barn owl - some of the creatures which members had a chance to touch and hold when John Makinson brought his Mobile Zoo to the June meeting. Our representative at the nation AGM in Liverpool, Mrs Kath Ions also came to give her report on the meeting. She had particularly enjoyed the talk given by Sandi Toksvig.

"Great Scientific Disasters" is the theme on July 3rd, when Dr McIlveen will be our speaker. This is an open meeting so do come along and enjoy the evening with us. Hostesses will be A. Magee, J. Nicholson and M O’Neil.

We are to provide refreshments at Gresgarth Hall on Sunday 13th July, so a lot of baking will be required!

On 7th August we will visit the Jacqueline Iddon Nursery. There are still places available. Ring Jackie on 770714 for further information.
