Pensions Advice at the Victoria Institute
If you are retired, about to retire, or you care for someone who is, then you’ll be interested to come to an informal talk with our local Pension Service in the Tea Room at the Institute. There’ll be an opportunity to ask questions, and we’ll be serving free refreshments. If you would like to, you can arrange a follow-up visit to your home to discuss your personal situation more privately.
The Pensions Service want to make sure you are getting all the financial benefits you’re entitled to, such as Pension credits, Attendance Allowance, Disability and Carer benefits. Many of these benefits are tax free and are designed to help you remain independent at home. The talk and advice will help you answer questions you may have such as: Am I entitled to an Attendance Allowance? How can I find out about a Lifeline system? How much Pension Credit could I get?
If you would like to find out more, but can’t come to the Institute on 12 May you can contact the Pension Service on (01524) 598160 – Pam McInnes - or (01524) 598204 – Geoff Ling. The best time to ring them is between 12 30 and 4 30 pm. If you would like Liz or Geraldine at the Institute to ask a question on your behalf then please ring us on 771733.
