Summary of the "North West Cancer Research Fund Coffee Morning" on 8 Mar 2008 - 10:00am

The total raised at the Coffee Morning on 8th March and including proceeds from the quiz, came to £487 - a splendid amount! Thanks are due to all who contributed in any way, by buying tickets or quiz sheets, by giving items for raffle or sale, by baking for the event, helping on the day or in any other way.

Thanks also to the shops which sold quiz sheets, bringing in almost £50. This is the sixth year in which we have had a Coffee Morning and we have now raised in the region of £2000, which will go towards cancer research in the North West - mainly at Lancaster, Liverpool and Bangor Universities. The Lune Valley area raises about £20,000 each year.
