Victoria Institute Jumble Sale and Auction

19 Jan 2008 - 2:00pm

Saturday 19th January from 2pm, to raise funds towards the refurbishment of kitchen and cloaks.

Have you had a Christmas clear out or New Year spring clean? Here’s a chance to find a happy new home for all those unwanted items! Just bring things along between 10 and 12 on Saturday morning (no electrical goods, please, the law is unsympathetic). If you would find difficulty in bringing items along, please give us a ring and we’ll arrange to collect! (Chris 01524 771744 or email ckynch@hotmail.co.uk or Joan 01524 771232).

The jumble sale is a fascinating way to spend half an hour on a Saturday afternoon, and you never know what you will find! Some treasures from recent Jumble sales include a gorgeous cream cotton textured throw; four beautiful plain chestnut heavyweight full length curtains with ties; a pair of little-worn Brasher boots - great for walking or gardening; good quality child’s trike; Little Tikes Police car; new cappuccino maker; large children’s garden construction set (wow!); a new Body Shop muscle relaxer! The auction is great fun, too!

Our most outstanding sale was a wonderful collection of ceramic horses, and it was a pleasure to deliver four antique chairs to a young couple - just what they were looking for. We hope to see you there!
