Twinning news

Some of you may have been aware that a party of French visitors from Socx spent the Gala weekend in Caton. The are proposing to twin with Caton and Brookhouse and came over to have a look see. By all accounts they were very impressed and have invited a party back to Socx in October to get things formally off the ground. We need to set up a Committee which would organize things from this end and the Parish Council feels that it should be independent but would have members of the Parish Council on it. It would have the full backing of the Council. Ruth Gibbons has agreed to organize the first meeting so if you are interested then give her a ring (770002).

Andre and his team from Socx are very keen to twin with us, they already have some contacts in the village and made a few more over the weekend. We need to set up our committee and plan the return trip. Do please get involved if you’re interested. Thanks
