French Visitors

A team of five people from the French Village of Socx are visiting Caton and Brookhouse over the Gala weekend. We have arranged accomodation for them with local people and they will be visiting the Gala on Saturday afternoon. The Parish Council and others have been in discussion with the Village of Socx on the possibility of a Twinning arrangement and the purpose of this visit is so the French Team can meet us, get a feel for our villages and move things on.

We have arranged a fairly full agenda for the weekend but there will be an opportunity for anybody to meet them in the Black Bull, Brookhouse on Sunday evening from about 7.30 onwards. There will be a short discussion on the formalities of a Twinning arrangement and on organizing a return visit.

Sometime in the near future we will be holding a village meeting to set up our Twinning Committee to discuss the matter fully - So if you are interested look out for the advertising or register your interest with me.
