Caton Community Primary School - New Headteacher

We are very pleased to announce that our new headteacher, Ms Cadwallender, will be starting at the beginning of the autumn term in September. We hope that the whole village community will give her a very warm welcome. The school, parents and governors would like to thank our leaving headteacher Mrs. Sully for her hard work and dedication and wish her every success for the future.

We will shortly have a vacancy for a Community Governor. Being a governor is a chance to make a valuable contribution to the running of the school and learn a variety of new skills. No special qualifications are required - enthusiasm, commitment and an interest in education are the most important qualities you need. Please contact the school on 770104 if you are interested.

Well done to our Year 5 and 6 pupils who have risen to the challenge and had a fabulous time taking part in canoeing, windsurfing, ghyll scrambling, sky pole and sailing during their week at Tower Wood. Year 2 have successfully completed their Stage 3 Right Start pedestrian training and pupils have participated in the Rural Schools’ Swimming Gala and Carnforth High School Maths Challenge and Science Festival. Our school performance of Bumblesnouts will be held on July 8th.

We have had a very enjoyable and successful school year and wish all our Year 6 leavers good luck for the future!
