Moor Platt

It has been years since Moor Platt closed but plans for the redevelopment of the site are still being discussed with Progress Housing and the Planning Department. Hopefully an Extra Care Sheltered Housing scheme, including some "affordable" units will go ahead subject to all the necessary planning approvals. The current housing market has been a problem but the plans now are to phase the scheme and start with the central core with all the "extra care services". I'm afraid there is no timescale on when they will start but the gardens are now being cared for a bit better.
