Find out what people said was important this month
- Ongoing minor issues and nuisance complaints concerning local Juveniles loitering around Brookhouse Methodist Church and St Pauls Church, also local primary schools at Caton and Brookhouse, during evenings, particularly at weekends.
- Ongoing community concerns and high number of speed related fatal and serious road traffic crashes involving sports motorcyclists who use the Lune Valley as a race track during the summer months.
- Ongoing thefts of machinery and their parts from agricultural farm premises and from roadside locations of plant in the Wennington/Tatham areas - believed to be committed during late evening/early hours.
Find out what we have been doing in the last month
- Two active criminals were arrested on Wedensday 28th April by Caton Patrols in relation to the theft of large number of slates from a roadside derelict building. Further enquiries are pending.
- Two drunken youths were arrested for causing damage to a vehicle in Brookhouse on a Friday night in late March. These were part of the group who have been drawing attention to themselves in recent weeks drinking alcohol and upsetting local residents by their Anti-Social behaviour.
- On Saturday 25th May, members of the same group were removed from Bull Beck Picnic site, having left litter and also had alcohol confiscated from them.
- Ongoing operation in Lune Valley to combat recent spate of machinery thefts from roadside and farm premises. The offenders are belived to have used a vehicle and have dismantled parts from machines/plant.

- RPU (Road Policing Unit) are currently conducting high visibility patrols at weekends in response to motorcycle checks and speeding enforcement.
- Caton Patrols provide high visibilty patrols midweek in repsonse to speeding enforcement.
- Two poachers in possession of firearms were arrested on the Abbeystead Estate in April following good work by the gamekeepers in spotting the two suspicious males in their woods.
