Over 50 people from our twinned village of Socx in Northern France arrive on Saturday 8th July. They will stay until Tuesday 11th July, departing about 8.00 am. Plans for their visit have not been finalised yet but as usual we would expect them to be entertained by their hosts on Saturday evening and also spend the day with them on Sunday. During the day on Monday we are considering a group outing as we know that some hosts will be working. On Sunday & Monday evenings we plan to have an event for hosts, guests and anyone else who wants to join us. So, if you would be prepared to offer accommodation to any of our visitors that weekend or if you just want more information, email Ruth Gibbons on firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 01524 770002. Don’t worry if you don’t speak French – many of the villagers in Socx speak good English and one can usually get by with memories of school French lessons or a good dictionary. Also, please remember that it is our parish which is twinned with Socx – not just a select group of people.
