Caton Terriers JFC are now entering their second season and are continuing to go from strength to strength. Having recently become affiliated with Lancashire FA, the Terriers have two junior football teams in the Lancaster and Morecambe ‘Service to Youth League’ at U8s and U9s age groups. Matches take place on Sunday mornings at Caton Community School on Broadacre with training being held at the University of Cumbria on Friday evenings. New recruits from Years 3 and 4 will be most welcome.
The Saturday Soccer School for Year 1 and Year 2 keen junior footballers focuses on the FUNdamentals of the game and has just started again on Caton St Paul’s School Field. The intention is to form up these children into teams to be entered into the League in future. The Terriers hope to start admitting Reception Class children after Christmas if there’s enough interest to make that age group viable. Please get in touch via email@example.com for more details.
The Terriers have received great support from the local Community including funding from the Caton Youth Club Trust and shirt sponsorship from thriving local business Dickinson and Whitaker Plumbing and Heating. Having a presence in both village schools is a fantastic development as the Terriers look to further advance the Club’s activities. The next milestone to aim for is FA Charter Standard status which will hopefully be achieved over the course of the new Season. The Terriers ethos remains to provide a safe, fun, family friendly environment with age appropriate coaching which supports football in the local Community. Dave Kitchin Caton Terriers JFC - Secretary
