Bee-friendly planting along the Millennium Cycleway

Lancaster Beekeepers have  received funding through Champion Bowland ( Forest of Bowland AONB) to create some more native wildflower planting on the Millennium Cycleway in Caton. We will meet on Sat 2nd April  2016 2-4pm at Station Road Cottage, on the Millennium Cycleway to prepare and plant the site.  The turf will be stripped off and removed by Dave Bissell and he will be on hand to remove the rubble on the day. This year we are joined by St Paul’s Scouts, the Cubs and Caton Guides and we hope members of Littledale Hall Therapeutic Community will join us again. We can provide some basic equipment, but a rake or garden fork and gloves would be usefulif you bring them. LBK will provide some basic refreshments - any contributions to the refreshment table will be greatly received. Once again we would like to thank Caton Coop for providing some refreshments. Please join us if you can. For more information contact Erica Sarney Tel. 01524 812114.
