Minutes from "Friendship Club Trip to Penrith & Appleby" on 10 Jun 2008 - 10:00am

The driver, Chris, avoided the motorway and took a scenic route to Penrith via Old Town, Shap, Lowther Park and Ulswater. After lunch etc. we headed to Appeby to see the end of the fair ( some horse washing was being carried out ) and had afternoon tea.
Musical afternoon with the Rainbow singers.
Submitted by Tom Wallace on Mon, 21/04/2008 - 7:57pm.At the last meeting of the Friendship Club on the 17th April members were entertained by the Rainbow Singers from Morecambe. It was a truly memorable afternoon with songs from the shows etc.
In addition two of the singers were celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary that day and, of course, were duly congratulated.
Minutes from "Talk and slides on Holker Hall" on 20 Mar 2008 - 2:15pm
Submitted by Tom Wallace on Fri, 21/03/2008 - 12:42pm.Janet Smith from Holker Hall gave an enthralling slide show and talk about the hall, and the intrigues through the centuries which led to the current occupants. Our next meeting will consist of a musical afternoon with the Rainbow Singers.
Friendship Club - February News
Submitted by Administrator on Fri, 01/02/2008 - 7:50am.We hope you enjoyed the New Years Party. We thank Mrs Gardner of Hornby for providing a wonderful meal for us. 96 members attended. Also in January we had Ms Lawton and Mrs Williams with their show of a collection of ‘Unusual Inscriptions and Memorials’ with music.
Friendship Club, December News

We thank John Brayshaw for stepping in at the last moment. The December meeting is on Thursday 20th at 2.15pm. We are having Mr T. Crawford who will give us a musical afternoon, consisting of magic and illusion.
