We live in one of the most beautiful river valleys in the country and our speaker in October has this very much to heart. We are very pleased to be welcoming Sarah James of the Lune Rivers Trust who will be telling us about the varied work of the trust over the huge catchment area of the Lune and one of its big issues - the control of invasive non-native species. And of course another issue these days is flooding - the trust is very much involved in ‘slow the flow’. All are welcome to come along and hear what Sarah has to say about the Trust’s many projects, how to volunteer and how to join in. Entry is £1 for members, £2 for non-members, including refreshments.
Hoping to see lots of you in the Victoria Institute at 7.30 pm on Thursday 11th October. If anyone wants a lift do call 770919.
