Open meeting - Fraud and profit from crime

Our speaker for the evening is Detective Inspector Janet Baldwin who, together with some of her colleagues from the Proceeds of Crime Unit, will be warning us about fraud - especially that associated with mass marketing.

The competition will be for a money making idea!

This is an open meeting - anyone interested (man or woman) is invited to attend.

The Gala will take place on the 16th June 2012 at the Station Hotel field. The theme of the Gala will be “The Olympic Games”. We are also mindful that next year marks the Diamond Jubilee of the accession to the throne of Her Majesty The Queen. We have therefore decided to hold a “one off” bumper Gala to commemorate this event.

W.I. Meeting - "Aspects of Jewellery"

Mr Damian Carr from the jewellers, S Carr & Son, in Garstang will be our speaker. He will be selling some jewellery and all proceeds on the night will go to Leukemia Research.

The competition will be a necklace or bracelet made from sweets.
