Lune Valley Kids Club, which has provided after school and holiday provision for the children of our villages for a decade at the Victoria Institute, needs new volunteers to manage the Club if it is to survive. This year's Gala was a Huge success, we had a record gate of £3620, our sponsors did us proud and provided £1015, a Big Thank You to you all. The total this year was £6847 and the costs £4004. We need to purchase ten new tables and 80 chairs for future galas.

Brookhouse Methodist Church will be hosting an evening with the world famous comedian Bobby Ball on Saturday 27 September 2008 at 7:30pm when he will be telling his life story - so far!!

On Friday 14th November we are holding another Textile Recycling. A van will be outside the School from 8.00 am to 9.00 am that morning. This is a good opportunity to have a clear out before Christmas.

Items that are suitable are as follows:-Clothing, Handbags, Shoes, Curtains, Sheets, Pillowcases etc. Please could they be bagged up. All proceeds will go to the School.
