On Friday 30th November we will be holding our Christmas Fair at 6.00 pm in the School Hall. Entrance 50p – children free with an accompanying adult.
There will be various stalls, secrets room, Santa’s Grotto, Raffle, refreshments and much much more. Please come along and support this event.

The Christmas Party will take place on Thursday 13th December at 5.30pm in the Victoria Institute. There will be a ‘sit down’ meal and afterwards a professional entertainer for your enjoyment. Tickets for the meal are available from your representative.

The first WI meeting of the New Year will be a talk by Mr Dennis Walker about this world famous "sweet".
The competition this month for members is "an old fashioned cold remedy".

The January Parish Council Meeting
To mark our 125th anniversary we will have a dinner and social evening at the Victoria Institute.
On display will be Club memorabilia.
The Caton & Brookhouse Twinning Group Steering Committee would like to invite you to join them in the Victoria Institute for some French Cheese and Wine on the evening of January 12th between 7.30 & 9.30pm. There is no charge.
This is an audio visual presentation accompanied with music, and is given by Ms Lawton and Mrs Wildman.
It is a second visit by Mrs Wildman, who last year gave the club a very entertaining slide show of old Morecambe.
Saturday 19th January from 2pm, to raise funds towards the refurbishment of kitchen and cloaks.
The Annual General Meeting will take place in the Victoria Institute on Thursday 24th January at 2.00pm. Nominations for the Committee to reach the secretary 2 weeks before the Meeting. Please come alon if you can and support your Club.

A talk on garden wet bits by Ken Green of The Walled Garden, Hornby, specialists in hostas and hardy perennials.
We welcome John Brayshaw back to the Friendship Club to give a slide show entitled "Stately Homes and Gardens".
John's shows are always excellent, and are very much appreciated.
