Annual Parish Assembly

This meeting is your opportunity to have your say in what the Parish Council does. This year there will be a talk about ‘Making Caton and Brookhouse Fair Trade Villages’. Please try and attend even if it is just to find out what goes on.
Parish Community Awards

The purpose is to recognise the contribution made by the recipient to the life of the Village so we are asking you, the community of Caton-with-Littledale to nominate somebody for this award. Please write or e-mail your nomination and the reason they should get it to the Clerk.
Local Dodgeball Winners
Submitted by Administrator on Wed, 01/04/2009 - 5:47am.Congratulations to the children and staff at Caton St Paul's Primary School on winning the inaugural Dodge ball Festival Cup. This event was held recently at Salt Ayre Sports Centre and involved twelve teams of boys and girls in years 4, 5 & 6 in local Primary Schools.
Hanging Baskets

It is hoped villagers will make their own arrangements and that the Villages will look just as colourful for the summer. Once again we will be entering the Lancashire Best Kept Village Competition.

Senior Citizen's Club Trip to Skipton
Submitted by Joan Fletcher on Wed, 01/04/2009 - 5:56am.The first trip of the season will depart on Wednesday 22nd April, departing from the Victoria Institute at 12noon. Please note that the trips normally take place on Thursdays, but there is no market at Skipton on a Thursday. Your representative will be calling for you to book your seat. Please be aware that there is one coach only, so please book when they call to avoid disappointment.
Lunesdale Tennis Club - Open Afternoons

We invite you to come down and join us on our open afternoons and welcome players of all calibres, from beginners to champions. So please come along to our mixing-in days on Sunday 10th and 17th May at 1.30pm. Beats going to the Gym.

Caton Pre School Playgroup Nearly New Sale
Submitted by Administrator on Wed, 01/04/2009 - 6:09am.We are holding another of our hugely popular Nearly New Sales at Brookhouse Methodist Church on Thursday 2nd April at 7pm - 8.30pm. This is a sale of Nearly New Children's items such as clothes, toys, books, baby equipment and maternity wear. Entrance is £1 and includes a tea or coffee. There will also be a cake stall. Please come along and support us and grab a bargain!
Friendship Club - Country & Folk Music

The subs are only £2 a year. Also thanks to everyone who helped putting the chairs out for the meeting which is a great help.

Twinning Association Games Evening - Open to All
Submitted by Ruth Gibbons on Wed, 01/04/2009 - 6:19am.Our next fund raising event will be a Games Evening on a French theme on Friday 24th April in St Paul's Church Hall, Brookhouse. This should be a fun event for all the family. Tickets, available from members of the committee, Brookhouse Convenience store or ring 770002, are £5 for adults and £2.50 for children. This will include a glass of wine or soft drink and nibbles.
