Lune Valley Police Report

High powered vehicles and power tools from outbuildings have been stolen from Lowgill and Quernmore areas. It is believed that two criminal teams are travelling into the Lune Valley and committing these crimes.

Senior Citizen's Trip to Dumfries

Has Caton Got Talent?

The Twinning Association is putting on a “Caton’s Got Talent” show on Saturday 20th November at 7.30 in the Victoria Institute. What we need to know now is how many of you out there – singers, dancers, jugglers, comedians, ventriloquists, novelty acts – would like to come and show off your talent.

Thank-you too to the Gala Committee for allowing us the chance to do some much needed fundraising. All funds raised goes back in to support the club, and they are vital for the club to continue.
"Hollywood Stars on the Air" - a Supper Lecture
Submitted by Administrator on Tue, 31/08/2010 - 4:53am.From 1934 to 1955 the Lux Radio Theatre was one of the top shows on American Radio. It featured weekly adaptations of Hit Hollywood Films.
The lecture will be given by Jeffrey Richards, Professor of Cultural History at Lancaster University and a regular broadcaster on Radio 3 and 4. It will be illustrated by extracts from the Shows and tells the story of this remarkable programme.
The inside story of a sausage - Caton WI September meeting

The competition will be for a recipe using sausages.

Wine Tasting

St Paul's PCC - A Gentle Reminder
Submitted by Administrator on Tue, 31/08/2010 - 6:32am.You may have noticed how tidy our churchyard is now looking; thanks to the hard work of volunteers, to whom we are very grateful, a lot of debris has been removed and the grass is mown as regularly as possible. However there are still areas needing attention.
