Public Toilet at the Victoria Institute
Submitted by Bruce Alexander on Sun, 17/06/2007 - 5:22pm.Did you know that there is a Public Toilet at the Victoria Institute? Just behind the bus stop! The Parish Council has decided that the Toilet should be open every day of the week including Bank holidays. This will take effect from July and we hope it will prove a success.

Some of you may have been aware that a party of French visitors from Socx spent the Gala weekend in Caton. The are proposing to twin with Caton and Brookhouse and came over to have a look see.

I think you are fantastic, put up with all types of strain and stress, and through it all come up with a big smile. I could not exist without you.

The Gardening Club at the Gala
Submitted by Jane Ransom on Sun, 17/06/2007 - 5:41pm.We had a good time at The Gala and on our evening trip, with the new competitions at the gala being well supported. In fact we were asked to revive some of the baking categories that there were at the old Caton Show.
Littledale Sheepdog Trial
Submitted by Administrator on Sun, 17/06/2007 - 5:43pm.This year’s Littledale Sheepdog Trial will be held on 21st August at Deep Clough Farm, Littledale. It will start at 8am and continue until the early evening. Farm house catering will be available at the trial. Last year the trial raised £100 for Leukaemia Research and £50 for Caton Pre-School Play Group.

Caton WI - Try and beat the bulge with Brenda

Caton WI - Canal Boat Trip

Caton WI -River Eden from Source to Sea
Submitted by Ruth Gibbons on Tue, 26/06/2007 - 7:55pm.Members and non-members (men and women) are invited to join us on this evening when our speaker, Maurice Steele, will show a film taking us along the River Eden from its source to the sea.
Maurice farms in Eskdale and is well known for his excellent photography.
Following the presentation there will be wine and light refreshments served.

Millenium Golf Trophy
Submitted by Administrator on Mon, 18/06/2007 - 8:15am.This annual event will be held at Kirkby Lonsdale Golf Club on Monday afternoon 17th September. It is open to any resident in the Parish with a recognised golf handicap and the format will be similar to previous years i.e. a fourball Stableford with partners drawn on the day.
