Twinning

We have held a Village Meeting to discuss how people feel about a Twinning Arrangement with the French Village of Socx. Obviously it is only worth progressing if there is a certain level of enthusiasm in the Village.
The Croft
Submitted by Bruce Alexander on Sat, 20/01/2007 - 5:13pm.The Parish Council is aware of the state of the road surface at the Croft and have been pushing for the County to do something about it. All they promise is that they will fill in the pot holes as soon as possible. In the meantime we would urge pedestrians to take extra care when using the Croft. We will keep up the pressure on the County Council.
Parish Councillors
Submitted by Bruce Alexander on Sat, 20/01/2007 - 5:03pm.This year we have elections for a new Parish Council and we really need to get people to stand for election to the Parish Council. It is not a closed shop, anybody in the Parish can stand so, if you want to get involved this is your chance.
Caton Community Library Trust
Submitted by Barbara Dearnley on Fri, 26/01/2007 - 10:39am.Over the Christmas period there were a couple of exciting developments in the attempts to get a library service back into the village. We hope to get a book borrowing scheme off the ground soon. The intention is to base a small book borrowing library at the Victoria Institute where people have been dropping off their books.

Caton Gala - 9th June 2007

Remember for all those who own a bicycle you can decorate it and join the parade. A prize will be given to the best decorated. Lets make this year's Gala better than ever.
Hot Pot Lunch & Bingo

North West Cancer Research Fund - Coffee Morning

Family Bingo Night

Caton Youth & Community Centre AGM
