The Ship Inn

Since 1680 "The Ship" has offered refreshment to many travellers along the northern trade routes. The hostelry takes its name from an old mill, long since closed down, which manufactured sail cloth at this end of the village formerly known as "Townend".
 
The Ship Inn at Caton aims to extend much the same hospitality as in times gone by; serving an extensive selection of bar snacks and meals including a daily specials boards and award winning cask ales.
 
You can be assured that all our food is freshly prepared and home cooked wherever possible, using fresh local produce from our local suppliers.
