The theme for Caton Gala 2018 will be “Musicals”. As per usual there will be a fancy-dress competition. This competition is open to adults as well as children. It would be lovely to see more adults take part. Committee members will be taking the opportunity to dress up as characters from their favourite musicals.
May we remind you that entries for the drawing competition and the competition to choose the Gala Queen, attendants and page boy should be returned to the schools etc. by the 21st March 2018. Our Contact for this is Phil Rawsthorn (01524 771148).
Once again there will be farmers market stalls and food concessions on the field. If you would like to operate one of these please contact the committee via the “get in touch” page on the Catongala.com website, by email to firstname.lastname@example.org, or by simply coming to the next meeting
An innovation for this year will be the inclusion of a “small business corner” on the gala field. The purpose of this is to enable small local businesses to showcase their wares and service. If you would like to book a place in the corner, please contact the committee by any of the means set out above.
It is not too early to enter the Windmill Race, full details of which can be found on their Facebook page “The Windmill Race”. All committee members can be contacted by e-mail at “email@example.com”.
We would love to welcome new members to the organising committee, the next meeting of which will be held at 8:00 PM on Wednesday the 7th March 2018 at the Station Hotel in Caton. All are welcome.
