As of today, this site is hosted on a faster server which will result in quicker page loading.

Over the Caton Gala weekend, this site was receiving over 1,000 unique visits a day. Even on Tuesday 12th, the site got 747 visits.

A visitor is counted only when bringing up more than one page and taking no longer than 30 minutes between individual pages. So a visitor who just visits one page isn't counted!

This new green theme was implemented in time for the parish assembly and was designed to give the site a more 'village' feel. I call the theme 'Caton Green'!

In implementing this theme, time has been spent tidying up things, especially in the group pages as well as making content more logically accessible.

We're looking for a volunteer to deal with the family and local history enquiries we get from the website.

People are usually looking for information about where they may find records relating to an ancestor or if we know of a certain property an ancestor has lived in.

Sorry if you've been trying to use the Contact Us link. Permissions were incorrectly set resulting in an 'Access Denied' message.

Problem resolved.

This site went live yesterday although it may take up to 48 hours for the new site to propogate across the internet. As I write this, it's possible some people may still be seeing the old site. Another few hours should see everyone looking at this site.

Businesses
If you run a business in the parish, it is likely an entry has been created for you in the Local Directory. The entry may be empty or not to your liking. No problem, you can edit it yourself!
