Have you ever wished that you could wrap up your Christmas gifts better?

Elaine Cuzner will show you how.

We shall also have our usual Jacob's Join feast and of course our Secret Santa Sack. Gifts should cost no more than £2.50 including the wrapping.

Hostesses will be J Wallace, M Wallace and G Yorke and J Wallace will also provide flowers.

Craig Hughes wil educate us in the art of keeping bees.

The competition will be for a home made bee - any medium.

Hostesses are J Theobald, E Thompson and J Thompson and flowers by M Sturzaker.

As well as holding the AGM this evening, we will also have a talk by Stephanie Whitfield of the Association of  Country Women of the World.

Hostesses for the evening are M Proctor, M Snowdon and M Sturzaker and flowers will be provided by Jean Bolland.

Billy Winn of Hornby Butchers will show us how to make some of their award winning sausages. We might even get to taste some!

The competition will be for a recipe using sausages.

Hostess are M O'Neill, P Parkinson and J Pearson. Flowers by J Nicholson

The meeting will take the form of a treasure hunt around the village and is open to anyone.

There will be refreshments of cheese and wine served whilst entries are being marked.

Taking Strawberries as our theme, we shall be entertained with music and song and enjoy some strawberry goodies with our refreshments.

The competition will be for some Strawberry Jam.

Hostess for the evening are M Johnson, A McGee and J Nicholson

As well as discussing the resolutions to be put forward to the national AGM we shall also hear poetry chosen by members.

The competition will be for an odd ode and hostess are M Headley, M Hickson and P Jamieson. Flowers provided by Maureen Hayes.

Various members will entertain us in true Lancashire fashion. There will also be a hot pot supper.

The competition will be for a pace egg and hostesses will be L Goff, B Gray and J Hayton. Flowers will be provided by Margaret Graham.

Ann Sandwell will be speaking about her passion for patchwork and will bring various items to illustrate her talk.

The competition will be for an item of patchwork.

Hostesses for the evening are J Bonnick, M Cardy and J Cuthbertson and flowers will be the responsibility of M Cardy.

This fund raising event has been arranged by the WI but is open to all. There is an entry fee of £2.50 which includes light refreshments.

Paul Durham of the Mountain Rescue Team will speak about their work. There will be a bring and buy stall and raffle. All proceeds from the meeting will be donated to MRT.
