Caton Community Primary School - New Headteacher

We are very pleased to announce that our new headteacher, Ms Cadwallender, will be starting at the beginning of the autumn term in September. We hope that the whole village community will give her a very warm welcome. The school, parents and governors would like to thank our leaving headteacher Mrs. Sully for her hard work and dedication and wish her every success for the future.


Twinning Group - Socx visits Caton

Thank you to all those who supported our strawberries and cream stall at the Gala. Pity it wasn't really the weather for it! Perhaps soup would have been better!



Art Lessons

Tutor With a BA (Hons) in Fine Art and Teaching Qualification. Painting and drawing lesson for beginners and Improvers. This course helps build your confidence and abilities in pencils drawing, water colours and acrylics. It is held in a friendly environment at The Victoria Institute Caton. Sessions commence Wednesday the 16th September from 1-3pm. £10-00 per session.

Caton & Brookhouse Allotment Association

A committee has now been elected and will be working at trying to secure funding and suitable land for allotments. It was agreed that 1-2 acres of land would be ideal.

St Mary's Garden Party, Hornby

This will take place in our beautiful garden, in Hornby, commencing at 2 p.m


Black Bull 2009 Charity Appeal

A team of 3 regulars from the Black Bull will be climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon within a 24 hour period in July to raise money for the Black Bull charity appeal.

This year the money will be going to the Air Ambulance and to organisations in Brookhouse and Caton who will be asked to apply early next year, notice will be given in the Link.


Fairtrade Coffee Morning

Everyone is welcome to the coffee morning at St. Paul's Church Hall on Wednesday 1st July at 10.30 - 11.45am. There will be various stalls including cakes, cards, Fairtrade, a Christian book library and a raffle.
