Cub Scout Challenge 2009
Submitted by Administrator on Fri, 29/05/2009 - 7:20am.Sunday 19th April at Littledale Camp Site. 9.30am to 4pm - The weather was perfect. The sun shone all day. Littledale woodland resonated with birdsong. The fields were bright with spring flowers, and best of all it was dry, as teams of cubs from Lancaster district took part in, and competed for, the annual Challenge Trophy.
Sponsor local girl running for charity in Great North Run
Submitted by Administrator on Fri, 29/05/2009 - 7:12am.M.E/C.F.S is a debilitating illness causing extreme mental and physical fatigue and other severe symptoms. My son Joseph has M.E. (Myalgic Encephalopathy). In the beginning he was very poorly and in a lot of pain. Many children with M.E/C.F.S are severely affected and without medical help and support they do not improve, they are isolated at home with no schooling.
Charity Car Wash & Craft Fair
Submitted by Administrator on Tue, 26/05/2009 - 6:43am.There will be a car wash and craft fair at Brookhouse Methodist Church on Saturday 4th July from 10.00am till 1.00pm. All proceeds will go to support work with street children and poor families in Albania. Refreshments will be served.
Twinning Association - Host Families Wanted!
Submitted by Administrator on Tue, 26/05/2009 - 6:41am.Thank you to all those who supported our games evening. Our plans for the visit of a group from Socx from 16-19th July are well under way. We are not sure how many will come but suspect that it will be a larger group than last time. During the visit, we try to find host families for everyone, even though we may have to separate older children from their parents!
Library Opening Hours

Senior Citizen's Trip to York
