Lune Valley Kids Club AGM
Submitted by Administrator on Sat, 23/08/2008 - 5:10am.Lune Valley Kids Club, which has provided after school and holiday provision for the children of our villages for a decade at the Victoria Institute, needs new volunteers to manage the Club if it is to survive. Interesting and varied opportunities for helping to run the Club are offered to parents, grandparents, business people, and other community volunteers.

Caton and Lune Valley policeman Ian Johnston today set out to cycle EVERY stage of the 2008 Tour de France cycle race route. That's an incredible 3,558 kilometres or 2,223 miles, over 19 high mountain passes through the Pyrenees and the Alps!
Friendship Club AGM

This is a good afternoon with a raffle, cup of tea etc. I would like to ask you to please come on the Committee and help us keep this Friendship Club running. Senior Citizen’s Club trip to Manchester

Please see your representative to book your seat. Manchester City Centre has been rebuilt since the bombing so there should be plenty to see.

Lancaster Sword Club Open Evening

All are welcome to come along see what we do, before we begin a new series of beginner courses for children and adults.

On Mondays 22nd and 29th September and 6th October 2008, we are offering free taster sessions at St Paul's Church Hall, New Street, Brookhouse, Lancaster LA2 9JR starting at 8pm. We last recruited two years ago so don't miss this opportunity. The club has a thriving membership from a wide area.
